Exercise

Boxing Right Cross

Also works: Shoulders, Chest, Triceps, Abs, Glutes

How to do it

  1. Stand in an orthodox stance: left foot forward, right foot back shoulder-width, knees soft, hands at cheek level.
  2. Brace your core, tuck your chin, and keep the left hand guarding.
  3. Initiate from the ground: push off the ball of the right foot and rotate the right hip and shoulder forward.
  4. Drive the right fist straight from your chin to the target, turning the palm down at extension with a neutral wrist.
  5. Exhale sharply on the punch and keep a slight bend—do not hyperextend the elbow.
  6. Let the rear heel lift as you pivot; keep the lead foot planted and weight shifting slightly forward.
  7. Retract the right hand immediately along the same path back to your guard.
  8. Reset your stance and repeat smoothly for the desired reps or time.

In FYL you log the Boxing Right Cross as duration — every set counts toward your volume, PRs and XP.
