Calves

Calves Exercises53

Tap any exercise for step-by-step instructions, muscles worked and a demo. Log any of them — sets, reps and PRs — in FYL.

Two muscles, two setups: the gastrocnemius works with a straight knee (standing raises), the soleus with a bent knee (seated raises). A complete calf program includes both.

Calves respond to full range of motion — pause deep in the stretch, rise to a full squeeze, no bouncing. They tolerate frequency well: 3–4 sessions of 8–15 slow reps beats one heavy day.

Train calves inside a proven plan — see the free program library.
